Below is a list of some Zoom classes* offered by Aiki Kai Australia instructors and any members of this association may attend these classes. The classes are not open to non-members.

To attend a class you will need to:

  • Note: If you are not a member of that dojo you may be required to supply your AKA membership number before you are given access. (if you don't know your membership number log into your profile via the little blue figure in the title bar top of the screen).

If you attend an authorised AKA Zoom class you should take note of the points below.



DISCLAIMER:
You need to be aware the Declaration you signed when joining the organisation still applies if you attend an online class and, due to the altered circumstances of training within a non-supervised space, these additional disclaimers are active. Should you choose to join an online class it is automatically taken you accept these points.

1. a. By participating in an online lesson, you are doing so at your own risk.

  • b. A suitable, non-slip floor space is required and any potential obstructions in the vicinity are to be removed before participation.
  • c. Do not train if you have, or suspect you may have any current health concerns, injuries, aches and pains. Or you have not attended any formal Aikido class previously.
  • d. We expect you to participate on your own, unless you are practising with a family member or partner who is also a member of Aiki Kai Australia and with whom you don’t need to keep social distancing. Please ensure no other people enter any room or area in which you train.
  • e. The instructor is obliged to record online lessons for liability reasons, but students may not do so. If the instructor provides access to a recording after the lesson, this may not be copied or further distributed.

2. Online training is only conducted for the benefit of existing financial members, and we ask you not to participate in any weapons training unless you have sufficient experience with the use of weapons.

3. The choice of an online platform is left up to the instructor, and there may be technical issues during a class. The instructor will do their best to help you with such issues after the class, where possible. Please be aware that the use of online meeting platforms carries with it some security risks. We cannot guarantee the safety or security of any application.

4. Attendance will be recorded at any online lesson as is the case with any other lesson. However, participation in online lessons is purely voluntary and subject to each person’s available technology.
